Pressure Level Sensor

A pressure level sensor measures liquid levels by detecting the hydrostatic pressure exerted by a water column on its piezoelectric sensing element. This pressure is directly proportional to the liquid’s height, allowing the sensor to convert the measured force into a corresponding analog signal. Pressure level sensors come in two main types including submersible and external-mount. Submersible pressure level sensors are lowered into a tank or water column and are suspended by their cable, while external-mount sensors are installed outside the vessel, typically threaded into a tap or tee fitting.
