Vaporous Resin Mix Tank Liquid Level Sensor

When a Virginia manufacturer of graphic signs, banners and foam boards needed reliable level measurement of their resin mix tanks, they turned to Flowline. Urea and formaldehyde based resins are the backbone of graphic media, and are widely used in coatings, adhesives and structural fillers. Throughout the blending and formation process, resin outgasses vapor and condensation before stabilizing into a syrup like solution. As a result, the operators had ongoing problems with ultrasonic sensors in their resin mix tanks due to signal attenuation. For this reason, Flowline suggested the use of our pulse radar liquid level sensors that are not affected by vapor or condensation. Each pulse radar sensor provides continuous level data to the PLC, which in turn, controls the filling, blending and emptying of the mix tanks. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
