Wastewater Treatment / Open Channel Flow

		Wastewater treatment facilities commonly use V-Notch Weir applications to prevent solids from passing through to the clarification and treatment processes. Particulates fall to the bottom as the clearer water passes over the weir. But how do you measure the amount of water that is passing over the weir onto the next stage? That is where the open channel flow capabilities of the EchoSonic^® LU27 shine. The LU27 can be configured to measure flow rate of wastewater entering a trough and passing over a V-Notch Weir The LU27’s capabilities can be further extended by adding the DataView™ LI55 controller to monitor very simple flow profiles using the display's advanced features. The Dataview LI55 allows for 2 or 4 programmable relays, and an isolated 4-20 mA repeater. Offering the capability for automatic pump shut-off, or to increase/decrease flow rate.
